Layer Selection by Group
Choose this option to select layers from a defined layer group. One or more layers can be
selected from a group as illustrated in the Standards Manager window shown in the figure
below.
1. Begin the process by selecting the appropriate group in the
Select Group
drop-down
list. Only those groups within the selected discipline will be displayed.
2. Select the desired layers.
a.
The
Select All
button allows for quick selection of the entire group.
b.
Standard Windows selection techniques or click and drag with the mouse can
be used to select the desired layers.
c.
To change the selection set use the
Clear All
button or simply reselect a new
set of layers with the mouse.
3. Once the desired layers have been highlighted click
Add to List
to import the layers
into the
Create/Modify Layer List
.
4. Once all the desired layers are shown under Create/Modify Layer
List click
OK
to create
the layers in the drawing.

option changes the Layer Create dialog as shown below Importing
layers from the drawing is important in order to apply quick modifications to layers such as

Once the layers for modification have been selected click
Add to List
to add them to the
Create/Modify Layer List (see the
for more info)

Once all the
desired modifications have been made click
OK
to update the layers in the drawing.
