Layer Selection by Search
Choose this option to search for layers within the selected discipline in the standards database.
The search automatically uses wildcards so a search for
AFLD
will return all Airfield related
layers, regardless of what appears before or after that search string. Searches look to match the
string in either the Layer Name or Description.
Terms can also be excluded from searches using the exclamation (!) character. Any layers
matching the terms after the exclamation will be excluded from the search results. See the
below image for an example.
Modifying Layers with the Layer List Function
Overview of Layer List Functions
The four functions as shown in the excerpt from the CSM Layer Creation dialog are
and Load Linetype. To apply these functions begin by
selecting (highlighting) the layer(s) in the Layer Listing of the
dialog that need
modification. Only one layer may be selected while performing the
Set Current
command.
Multiple layers may be selected while performing a
Change Color, Remove from list
or
Load
Linetype
command. To select more than one layer, use the standard windows selection
techniques (i.e. <CTRL> or <SHIFT> keys along with the mouse). Once layers are selected
right click to access the functions.
