For example, the user wishes to look for only text objects to determine if they are standards
compliant. Simply check the MText and Text checkboxes then apply the filter. The layer list
section will immediately react to show only the layers of those particular entities. The software
also allows the user to save the filter for easy retrieval and a later time.
Once the desired layers have been select and chosen in the layer list section simply click the
Convert Layers button to physically convert the layers in the drawing.
Multiple Drawing Layer Conversion
To scan multiple drawings for layer conversion use the External References Tab or Additional
Drawings Tab at the bottom of the Layer Conversion Utility dialog. See the Compliance
Reporting topics o n External References and Additional Drawings for further help.
If multiple drawings are converted the user will be prompted with the following dialog. If Yes is
selected, all layers that can be purged will be purged from every drawing being converted.
